Founded in 1926 in Consett, UK, we have grown into an independent international manufacturer serving customers across multiple industries while remaining firmly rooted in our original community.
Our business is structured around two divisions: Performance Chemicals and Custom Manufacture. Within Performance Chemicals, our three business units — Polymer Performance Solutions, Consumer Actives and Industrial Specialities — deliver a broad portfolio of additives, actives, resins, preservatives and functional materials that enhance product performance across sectors including personal care, home care, rubber and polymers, coatings, textiles, paper and industrial processes. Our Custom Manufacture division provides confidential, scalable contract and toll manufacturing services, supporting customers who require tailored chemical solutions backed by robust technical expertise and quality systems.
With headquarters and manufacturing in the UK, supported by offices in the USA, China and Germany and a global distribution network supplying more than 80 countries, we combine international reach with the agility and customer focus of an independent family business.
